Nature is an integral part of Norwegian life.  From ski trips during the winter, which happens to last a very long time, to hiking in the forest during the summer, Norwegians are lucky to grow up surrounded by a beautiful and wild landscape. For me growing up in Northern Norway, it was ingrained in our everyday life that experiencing nature in all its variations is very important – rain or shine! There is a very common phrase that you will often hear Norwegians repeat – “det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær” / “there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes!” I think for me this phrase has impacted the way I choose to experience nature and explore it regardless of its accessibility!
